3D metal printing
Printing service description: University (TUT) is interested of long-term cooperation with the enterprises to implement new materials by using SLS (or SLM) tehnologies and to discover new materials and structural materials.
R&D activities in 3D metal printing field:
- Development of materials (new materials to print, for example Si, ceramics, nanocomposites etc.)
- Printing of composite materials (structured meso-structural metal-metal composites, metal-ceramics and metal-plast composites)
- Structural surfaces (imitation of biostructures to test and optimize frictional properties)
- Optimization of topology (bionic structures)
- Printing of novel alloys (Al, Ag, W and other materials, development of new printing parameters)
- Printing of hard alloys
- Optimization of the industrial products to make them suitable for printing
Examples of the joint research:
- Eesti Lennuakadeemia – printing of details for glider using Ti alloy and stainless steel
- Tartu Ülikool – printing of supercapacitor elements using pure Al
- Kiievi Polütehniline Instituut – meso-structures for development of composite materials
- Mehaanika ja tööstustehnika instituut – FSW (Friction Stir Welding) tools from stellite (CoCr alloy)
- Eesti Kunstiakadeemia – realization of student projects
- TUTstudent organizations– Formula Student, Robotic Club, TUT – Mektory satellite project
Price estimation of the printing for project based cooperation:
- duration of the project
- amount of the models to be printed
- development of the model and optimization
- other project related activities
Price estimation of the printing for one product:
- preparation of the model to be printed
- price of the material (volume of the model)
- price of the equipment (usage hours)
- operators cost
3D pastics printing
Printing service description: University (TalTech) is interested of long-term cooperation with the enterprises to implement new materials by using SLS (or SLM) tehnologies and to discover new materials and structural materials.
It is possible to print individual items and prototypes also.
Examples of the joint research:
- printing of the prototypes
- printing of the prototype cases for electonic devices
- desing of the cases and modeling for the prototypes
- optimization of the models for printing
Price estimation of the printing for one product:
